Quality Boots
Very comfortable best boots i ever owned

Made in China:
I purchased a pair of these boots to replace my 2 year old Chippewa Loggers. I have worn the Chippewas everyday for the past 2 years in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa.........and they STILL don't feel broken in. They are stubborn, unyielding, uncomfortable and heavy b..., and they are NOT waterproof. Which brings me to these Carolina Loggers. These boots are an almost identical equivalent in appearance, construction, price, and durability. Slightly lower in price, slightly thinner leather materials, only a small amount lighter. Each of these boots weighs 3 pounds. More comfortable right out of the box, and true to size....no need to order up or down a size. My Chippewas were not waterproof, but these are. 400 grams of insulating material makes it a comfortable boot into the winter months, but freezing temps will eventually leave your feet chilled if you are not moving regularly. I found some Carolina boots in a local Boot Barn, tried a few pair on to verify my size, then ordered these online. Toebox is large and roomy, laces are high quality, as are the fast lace hardware studs. Sole is a thick one-piece heavy-duty slab, and the shank provides a great deal of support from the heel through the arch. Stitching is industrial, and a close inspection of the boots as they came out of the box showed no imperfections or issues. I titled this review "Made in China" because that is what is printed on the box, and it's also on the tongue of each boot. I would have liked to find an American made boot of this quality at this price, but I admit this is a solid (insert motivating swear word of choice here) kick-a.. boot for the money.
