The Carhartt Men's Shoreline Jacket (J162) is made of 7.3 ounce, 100% nylon oxford shell with Storm Defender® waterproof breathable membrane that keeps water out and lets body heat escape. The fully taped waterproof seams are throughout the entire jacket and ensure that you stay dry. There is a snap-on, detachable visored hood with adjustable drawcord. The inner sleeve rib knit storm cuffs keep the elements out while angled cuffs won't interfere with your work.

6'4" 270 lbs. excellent material and fit. Good for temps 30 f to 70 f. Keeps you dry but you will sweat some but material helps you dry out. Wore on Iceland photo trip with temps 30-50 and lots of rain

This jacket works very well...
This jacket works very well in the cold and is extremely windproof, even on a motorcycle.Just don't get it wet! After a short time (an hour or so) in a moderate rain you will be soaked.I love my jacket as I do all my Carhartt gear. But this jacket is in no way waterproof!!! (Bakersfield, CA.)
